Setting up a team inbox

Create the shared mailbox
An admin creates it in the Admin Console under Email → Shared Mailboxes.

Add members and roles
Members can read and reply; managers can also assign and configure rules.

Configure routing
Optional auto-assignment by round-robin, workload or AI-detected topic.
Shared mailboxes require a Business or Enterprise plan.
Send-as and delegation
Send-as aliases let you send from alternate addresses you own. Delegation grants another user access to read or send from your mailbox without sharing your password — common for executive assistants. Both are managed under Settings → Identities.
