Live Transcription
Real-time speech-to-text during meetings, and what you can do with the transcript afterwards.
How transcription works
When transcription is enabled, everything said in the meeting is converted to text in real time. Captions appear live in the transcript panel as people speak, attributed to the participant who said them, and the full transcript is saved with the meeting when it ends.
Live captions
Follow the conversation as text while it happens — useful in noisy environments or when joining muted.
Speaker attribution
Each line is labeled with the participant who spoke, so the transcript reads like a script.
Saved with the meeting
The transcript is stored alongside the recording and summary, ready to review or search later.
Enabling transcription
- 1
Turn it on
Enable transcription when scheduling the meeting, or toggle it from the toolbar during the call.
- 2
Open the transcript panel
Click the transcript icon to watch live captions scroll while the meeting runs.
- 3
Review afterwards
Open the meeting from your history to read or search the full transcript at your own pace.
Transcription powers more than captions: meeting summaries, action-item extraction and the AI participant's understanding of the conversation are all built on the live transcript.
Working with transcripts
After the meeting, the transcript is fully searchable — find the exact moment a topic came up instead of scrubbing through a recording. Transcript lines align with the recording timeline, so you can jump from a sentence straight to the matching point in the video.
If you only need the highlights, skip the transcript and read the automatic summary instead — it condenses the discussion into key topics, decisions and action items.
