Rate Limits
Per-plan request limits, rate-limit headers and backoff strategies.
Limits by plan
| Plan | Requests / min | AI operations / day | Burst |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free / Trial | 60 | 100 | 2x for 10s |
| Starter | 300 | 1,000 | 2x for 30s |
| Business | 1,200 | 10,000 | 2x for 60s |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Negotiated |
Limits apply per organization per product. AI operations (summaries, Nexus queries, AI search answers) are metered separately from plain CRUD requests.
Headers and handling 429s
X-RateLimit-Limit: 300
X-RateLimit-Remaining: 142
X-RateLimit-Reset: 1718031600
Retry-After: 12 (only on 429 responses)- 1
Watch Remaining
Throttle proactively when X-RateLimit-Remaining approaches zero.
- 2
Honor Retry-After
On 429, wait the indicated seconds before retrying — retrying earlier extends the penalty window.
- 3
Use jittered backoff
For bulk jobs, add random jitter so parallel workers do not retry in lockstep.
Need more headroom? Business plans can purchase the Extra AI Usage add-on; Enterprise limits are set per contract.
